NORTH WILKESBORO, N.C., June 3, 2026 — Gordon Recyclers, Inc. ("GRI" or the "Company"), a family-owned scrap metal recycling company founded in 1917 and headquartered in Statesville, N.C., announced today that its subsidiary, Gordon Recyclers North Wilkesboro, LLC, has acquired the assets of Lowe Fur & Herb, Inc. The transaction closed in March 2026.

The acquisition is expected to bring a number of benefits to the community, including expanded recycling services for businesses, contractors, manufacturers, and residents and continued employment opportunities. The expansion reflects the Company's continued commitment to investing in the Western North Carolina region and providing accessible recycling services for both residents and industry. For more than 55 years, the facility has played an important role in helping local customers responsibly recycle metals and other materials. The facility will continue to operate at 108 5th Street, North Wilkesboro, N.C.
Going forward, GRI will continue focusing on maintaining strong community relationships, delivering the high level of service the community has come to expect, and expanding services such as offering roll-off container service, including pickup and delivery, for customers that produce high volumes of scrap.
